Nordic walking - An excellent form of relaxation for those who prefer outdoor activities. Marching with poles was almost completely unknown a few years ago, and now it is estimated that about 400,000 Finns already do it! Nordic Walking has become so popular because it is easy to learn, and most importantly - effective. Walking with poles is even 40% more effective than without them. Depending on the speed of the walk and the person exercising, even 400 calories can be burned per hour (with around 280 during a "regular" walk ). Thanks to the poles, which relieve pressure on the joints, you can travel longer distances without fear.
During Nordic Walking the heart rate easily increases to a level that keeps the heart and cardiovascular system in good condition. This is not the end of benefits for the body: the muscles of the legs and arms are improved, the muscles of the upper torso, the arms strengthen and also the shoulders relax.
